Con Artists

I have seen my share of con artists lately, but nothing tops the one my friend started dating. He even fooled me and I'm a hard nut to crack. My friend, We'll call her Mary, started dating this guy, well call him Exhibit A. Mary started dating Exhibit A a few months back and he told her his tragic story of abuse, neglect, and his army years. He moved in with her, she started trying to help him get custody of his daughter, she bought the little girl clothes and toys and even started to create the little girl a room complete with princess bed and pink walls. Then out of the blue this...Exhibit A...told her he was visiting his mom, come to find out he had secretly moved back in with his ex-wife and every story he told, including him falling out of a helicopter, was completely false. The guy even had fake military records, how does one even DO that? Anyway, makes you wonder, if there are men out there that literally lied about EVERYTHING, I mean lies so detailed you wouldn't even know it was a lie, how many of them are there? Makes me question all men, I know it's a bad thing to question them, I am a solid Romantic and I always believe in the power of Love. But still, sometimes the power of Love gets a good swift kicking by people like this.
