So yesterday as you all know, was my birthday. I turned 30. Just something about the big 3-0 that makes you look back on what you've done with your life and wonder..hmm. Well I COULD have done this differently, I SHOULD have done this differently...But you know? I don't think I'd really make that many different choices. Why, you ask? Each mistake I've made, everything I've been through in my last (gulp) 30 years, have made me the kind of person I am today. Yes, I may have to save money to be considered poor (it really is bad, but whatever, money is money, its just green shiny paper) and I may have a job I hate (I do hate it!) and I may be single, childless and alone...but I'm also compassionate where some people I know feel nothing for others, I'm happy regardless of the fact that I have a few minor health issues, and I'm pretty darn mature. I may have a thing for pink and polka dots, I may still LOVE Disney cartoons, but you know, during a hard time or a crises, I'm there all the way to help out.
But whatever, right? On to more interesting topics. I watched the new Food Network Cupcake wars last night and it was rather interesting. I don't think I've ever heard of some of the things these people were using in their cupcakes (avocado chocolate cupcakes anyone?) but it was interesting. The Vegan cupcakes were VERY cool, they looked awesome and the judges seemed to like the taste, but sometimes I question those types of judges tastes.
One judge described the taste of a cupcake to be Naughty and Sassy. I laughed for well over an hour. I don't think I've ever had a naughty cupcake before. Did it whisper sweet nothings in her ear? Did it flash her some thigh? I'm just curious here, you know, for professional reasons.
I think I want to take the Wilton's decorating classes for cakes, those seem fun. I want to open a new line of Penis Cakes. I can do it in all colors and nationalities. I thought it would be funny to see a cobalt blue penis cake that says "Oui, Mon Cheri". Go Figure.
My sister made these awesome Peanut Butter Bon Bons for me, her own recipe.
Reagan's Naughty Bon Bons
1 tub of White Cake Icing (About $1.20 at Walmart)
Peanut Butter (In her words "I just added spoon fulls until it was to hard to stir.")
She let it sit in the fridge for a bit to thicken and then rolled it all up into little balls, it made A LOT of bon bons. She rolled chocolate sprinkles onto some and dipped others completely in melted chocolate, some were left just plain..anyway they were awesome and I'm sitting here at work with a baggie full of them hidden in my purse.
Hopefully I will Write more later!
