As I said in a previous post (my Giveaway, enter here!) there is some major changes in my life. I'm leaving Charlotte. I have loved my home here and I will miss it, but sometimes things fall outside of what we can fix or repair and we have to let things go, we have to move on.
I'm hurting that this is the way it has to be, but I also understand that when something ends...something else begins. So, I'm moving to Banner Elk, NC. It's a BEAUTIFUL place and I'm excited to see what the future holds.
And that brings me to my new HOME in Banner Elk. I bought a fixer upper camper. I'm going to park it on my sister's property and that is where I will live. It's really ugly. It needs some work and some love but I know I can make it work. It's a 1979 Coachmen camper. The floor needs to be completely replaced and it's really dirty, but I'm kinda in love with it. I bought her for $600 with the title so I'm happy with my purchase.
I'm on a very, very tight (i.e. non-existent) budget. I already have paint, so I'm thankful for that. I'm sort of a hoarder. I have so much stuff in my home, that I can make use out of a good amount of it. Like those little light I bought for my hallway and never put up, or the ceiling light fixture for the foyer...and never put up. These things can be put to good use in my camper. But there are still some things I just don't have sitting around. Here is a list of things that I need to make my camper great again. :)
1. Lumber. .
2. Plywood. I need 4 sheets of plywood, the floor in my camper needs to be completely replaced.
3. Flooring. Whather it's laminate or sticky tile, I'm pretty open to anything right now.
3. A hotplate. The oven is original to my camper and definitely is no shape to be used. I have a great microwave oven so a hotplate for burner cooking would be ideal.
Why am I posting this? I'm putting it out there in case someone is doing some remodeling or are building something and have leftover they wont be using. :) I will happily take any building material off your hands to make my camper beautiful. Anything would be used and appreciated. You can email me through my contact link or on any of my social media.
Here is a cute little slideshow of the ugliness of my new home:
