April Camper Update: RIP

Major news on my camper update. I'm not happy about it, but it's the right thing to do.

We've had some warmer weather the past few days and I took the time to look over the camper in detail. I haven't really been able to look at it very closely since last summer so I was excited to take a look and get the ball rolling on installing new floors...then I saw it.

The frame is wrecked. What does that mean? It means it would cost me THOUSANDS To fix this before I could even think about replacing the floor. I would have to remove all the tin from around the camper, rebuild the frame, insulate it, rebuild the floors and the ceiling before I could even consider decor and move in.

RIP Sadie. You would have been awesome.

SO WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE ME?

Not in a happy place because I've been super dedicated to this camper remodel. I've scrimped and saved and gotten some of the best freebies to put aside. I had $84 on my Amazon account that I was going to trade in for a Lowe's gift card. I had even had some DIY's I was going to post to show you some of my money saving techniques.

It's okay though, time to put Plan H into action (I've been through a lot!)

THE NEW PLAN

I'm going to purchase a shed. A very nice shed with a porch and I'm going to turn it into a tiny house. The plusses to this are that I'll have more room and I won't have to worry about rotten wood making me sick.

As you can see this shed is pretty bad-ass. It's going to cost me around $500 down to have it built to my specifications and delivered unless they have a "repo" that I like for cheaper. It comes wired for electricity already and all I would be doing at that point is plumbing and cosmetic stuff. I had planned a tiny house about four years ago down to how much each screw would cost me and all in all I'm looking at around $2000 to get this delivered and get this in a "liveable" condition. I'm okay with that. I start my new job at Amazon on April 23rd and I'm excited about this new path. The monthly cost for this would be around $300 (there are a few extras I'm wanting to add in there like an additional window at the back.)

The size I'm looking at is going to be 12'x32'. So it's plenty big enough for Lulu and me. I want grey siding and a charcoal colored roof with white trim. I'll put some nice flower boxes by the windows and a cute little rocking chair on the front porch.

The shed includes:

9 Lite Window Door
Porch
Porch Railing (Included porch railing is 3 sections that are approx. 4ft each)
4 Porch Posts
5 - 2x3 Windows

And as stated above, I want an additional window in the back and electric run, so that's additional. The total cost of this is around $7k. The deposit includes the first month's rent as well as the delivery and set up fees so not too bad.

MY $84 IN AMAZON CREDIT

So there was a problem with my Amazon account. They froze it on April 1st. They froze it for a good solid 2 weeks. They wouldn't release my funds and once they finally told me what I did it still made no sense. They said I was using my account for "business purposes" and that I had received compensation for my reviews. I
think it's because for Christmas I was purchasing almost all of my Christmas gifts using gift cards I made doing surveys and every once in a while they would ask me to review an item. IT appears that think because the bulk of my purchases were made using gift cards I was being compensated in that manner. I wasn't.

I decided to use my $84 credit for the kids (and a little for myself!). What I did was pretty simple I purchased the kids a play pool and a fire hydrant sprinkler. I also purchased a little pool for myself. IT's not giant, but it's nice and I like it.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH ALL THE STUFF YOU ALREADY PURCHASED OR GOT FOR FREE?

I'm still going to use it! I'm actually going to have to do all the home stuff anyway from sheetrock or paneling on the walls, to paint to kitchen cabinets and shelves. I'll still use everything I've gotten and a lot of the choices I Had made for my camper remodel will just be switched over to this tiny house idea.

Questions? Just post them below or you can reach out to me on social media. Yes, I am disappointed, mostly in myself, but I will make this work! I'm hoping I can put the deposit down on my shed in June with an August or September move-in date. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

March Camper Update

Good morning everyone! I have some updates on the camper. Some disappointments, but all in all it's okay!

1. Lowe's kinda screwed me up. I had gone ahead and ordered my sink base and received a notice that it was ready for pickup but through some snafu's I didn't get it. So no sink base for me :(

2. I've decided to just forego all the iron shelving. I'm afraid it may be too heavy so I'll be using brackets, I would love to use something cute like corbels but I'm not going to hold my breath. Maybe later I go back in and add some gingerbread trim to make it cuter.

3. I almost have enough saved to buy all the wood I need to rebuild my floors! If you don't know the floor is weak, and after sitting out in the weather over the past year it's gotten worse. I'm honestly afraid I'm going to go through the floor at this point so we are ripping it all out and putting new floors down. I'm super excited that I've almost saved enough Survey money to cash in for a Lowe's gift card on Amazon. I have a 10% off coupon code so all in all, I'm going to need a total of $80 to get the subflooring. After that then I have to do it all over again to get the nails, liquid nails and the panelling for the walls. I'm working hard on this project and I'm hoping I get it all done in a couple of months. I'm ready to be in there. :)

4. I've been seeing a lot of Pinterest posts for repurposing wood, drawers and other things to reuse. I have the old cabinet drawers that I'm going to try to repurpose into a cute little kitchen shelf to hold my cookbooks and some food storage containers. Speaking of storage containers... I'm going to reuse coffee creamer containers to hold things like sugar, flour and cereal. My sister buys the giant bottles so I'm just going to rescue them when she gets done, rip off the labels and wash them out really well. Those would be wonderful for storage and even better...THEY ARE FREE.

5. My sister gave me two old windows that I can repurpose into a cute towel rack in the bathroom and a chalkboard for the living area. She was going to toss them but they are old, chippy and will look super shabby chic. I love it. I was going to use a random piece of wood for the bathroom, but once she gave me these windows I was like YASSSSS...lol. I need to find some wood glue to make them sturdy but I will definitely document their transformations.

6. I almost have enough tickets on my VeryDice app to trade in for either another roll of this marble wrap or go ahead and grab the RV dish drainer. I have a small list of stuff I really want to get on the app so hopefully, I can do that in the next few days!

That's pretty much it! Whatever projects I do complete I will make sure to document that for everyone. But I wanted to share my disappointment with the kitchen sink and my happiness with almost having enough survey money saved to buy the subfloor.

That's all the updates for now! But I'll definitely keep you all posted. Again if you want to send me something for the camper I do have a wishlist which you can view here. :)

Camper Update 3

I am super excited. I am starting to see things come together for the camper remodel. This is going to be my home so I want it to look nice, but be as functional as possible. So here are some updates for you!

1. I was able to purchase my kitchen sink base! Lowe's had it on sale for 20% off, which brought it down to $86.40 plus I had a 10% off coupon code which took it down to $77.76 before taxes. This is regularly $108. Super excited over this and the additional savings helps so much in this remodel. I also got 2% cash back on Swagbucks which is just going right back into the remodel fund. This is the unfinished sink base and I want to paint it..or stain it. I have some grey paint already and it's a darker grey, so I think that would look amazing against the white I have planned for the camper. After this purchase, it leaves me with $416.99 left for the remodel.

It's ugly and gross. I know.

2. I used my VeryDice app tickets (You can read my post about
VeryDice here!) To get this awesome countertop contact paper for the tiny bathroom sink. It's a small piece just 16" by 30" and I think I'm going to need 2, but I got it for 6,000 tickets which were FREE of course for playing the game. I want to do the sink base and possibly around the medicine cabinet. This stuff is regularly $8.99. FREE.

3. The third thing I purchased, was free as well! I got $10 from a referral to the Google Express store, and I was able to purchase a set of wall hooks in white completely for free! I actually got the wall hooks and a box of noodles. lol. But seriously, that's awesome. The ones I had on my Amazon wishlist was $4 each hook and the free Walmart set was a set of 6! I am going to take one of the old weathered boards outside and make a towel rack for the tiny bathroom. You can get free stuff through Google Express as well just click HERE to see the instructions! I had 4 of the $4 hooks on my wishlist so that would have been $16. These were priced at $1.84 on sale (Regularly $6.97) on Google Express. FREE!

I want to create something like this:

That's all the updates for now! But I'll definitely keep you all posted. Again if you want to send me something for the camper I do have a wishlist which you can view here. :)

Camper Update 2!!

Good evening yall! (Or good morning! haha) So I've been planning this camper remodel for days now and I've made a few changes to what I originally wanted to do.

Not nearly as appealing as my first plan but still very cute.
I had to remember that this is a camper and all that iron piping is going to be HEAVY! So, I've remodified how I want to build shelving and changed a few things. I am going to buy a sink base cabinet for the floor cabinets. Just one and put my fridge right beside it.

That should save me a ton of money as well as weight on the camper. My upper selves will look different too. Instead of doing all that iron I'm just going to use one iron pipe coming out with the wood for the self on THAT. The same for the shelf I want to build in the living area. The bathroom towel rod will still look the same. :)
This table is obviously made by 2x4s,
I want to use smaller wood so it's lighter.
But I'm going to convert this idea
into a countertop.

I'm going to make a countertop out of little 1x6's by staking them together and gluing them, then
treating them so they are waterproof.

I have photos of course as you can see the changes I've made to my original plan. I'm also going to list prices so you can see what I'm spending here!

1. Unfinished Sink Base (Lowe's) $86.90 (On sale right now which I probably won't have the money for it ends on the 18th.
2. Black Iron Pipes (Lowe's) These are $7.98 each. I need 16.
3. Black Iron Flanges (eBay) Pack of 10 for $21.96 (Need 2 packages of these)
4. Black Iron Caps (Lowe's) These are $1.77 each, I need 15.
5. Black Iron Elbows (Lowe's) These are $1.86 each, I need 2.
5. Screws (Lowe's) $9.68
6. 1x6 lumber pieces (Lowe's) $1.68 each. I need about 20.
7. Boards for shelving, I have to go to Lowe's to look at this simply because I need to see it before I pick out the boards for shelving. I may try to use some free pallet wood.

I may also need more of the pipes for the far end of the counter but I haven't decided yet.

The other stuff I'm buying for the camper:

1. Toilet (Amazon)
2. OSB for replacement floor. (Lowe's) $13.21 each, I need 6 of these.
3. Liquid Nails (Lowe's) $4.58 each. I need 2.
4. Wood Studs (Lowe's) To replace any rotted wood behind the current walls. I'm buying 8. $3.33 each.

My current Lowe's total is $298 and $44 for eBay. That leaves me just $71 to buy anything else I run into needing. I'm worried I won't have enough and I'm trying to cut the cost down as much as I can. If I buy all cabinets for the camper, my total raises drastically. I'm hoping I can recycle some actual flooring from my sister's kitchen remodel and thankfully I have kitchen door handles already.

I have been doing surveys a lot lately which did help me sooo much in buying Christmas so I'm working on getting surveys done for gift cards to use at Amazon or Lowe's. I'll get this done Y'all!

I have a "Wish List" on Amazon which includes my toilet and Lowe's gift cards. If you are interested in sending me anything off the wishlist you can view it here. I've had some people ask which is why I'm posting it. lol. In all seriousness though, if you do happen to gift me with anything off my wish list I would be forever grateful.

Camper Update!

If you've been following my blog or know me personally you know I bought a camper to redo about a year ago. I am going to live in it but ran into some issues. I got a job...lost a job, found out the camper had massive water damage and the floor was rotted through in multiple places. It's been a roller coaster.

Well, here is the current update and plan.

I'm still going to fix it. Hopefully within the next 2 months. I'm going to pretty much gut it, every room except the bathroom. I'm going to reconfigure it and move the kitchen to the middle so I can open up the front end and make it bigger. I know it's hard to imagine. So here are photos!!

Here is the front of the camper. What I didn't know when I bought it was that every wall is water damaged severely. The floor I knew was weak but it's got to be completely replaced and that stove had a sticker on it that said WARNING: DEATH. Super scary that. So that's going to the dump. I'm going to gut all of that out. Every bit of it top to bottom, put in a solid floor and a shelf above the window. I'll put a real bed in there.

A twin. I'm single, having a bigger bed would be amazing, but it's pricey so I'll just keep what I'm using for now and hopefully get a nicer mattress. The shelves I build are going to be done using black plumbing pipe. lol. I know it's weird. So here is a photo ---->

That whole shelving unit is made of nothing but iron plumbing pipe, flanges, and some elbows. Cheap if I buy most if, through eBay, the wood will come from Lowes, I'm going to carry that over into the kitchen area.

And speaking of the kitchen area, I'm moving it to the right side where that bunk is. I don't need that bunk. I'm one person. If I move the entire kitchen to that area that opens up the entire front half of my living area. I will put a base cabinet that will house most of my electric and plumbing boxes and I'm using the same shelving system above here as well. The fridge will go on the floor beside the cabinet. Thankfully, I can re-use the sink and faucet from the existing kitchen.

The walls in there do not seem to be too bad so I may be able to just paint those white and maybe put some nice wallpaper up. Hopefully. If I can afford it. I have a small budget for this as I'm getting taxes so I'm going to pour every dime of it into this.

On the left side, I want to pull that bunk out and put in a small desk for me to work, to do my blogging, my writing and maybe a work at home job. I need new lights throughout it, I have no clue what kind of lights to get. Maybe some cheap ones from Walmart? If you have ideas post them below! The bathroom is fine, I will update it cosmetically and I do want to put a real toilet in there. A nice low flow...and update the shower head.

I won't have a stove. I'm throwing that death trap out, but I already have a microwave oven that lets me bake and do all of that in it so I will need a nice burner type thing to put on the countertop when I need to cook that way. And I bought a crockpot with some gift cards I got for Christmas.

Without having a job everything seems impossible to fit in a tiny budget but I am a good deal finder. :) Over the past few months, I have been able to grab small things here and there. Cabinet handles, one recessed light, a wireless doorbell, a very nice deep pan. All of that was free using gift cards I got from doing surveys. Right now I'm saving some survey money to try to figure out linoleum for the floor. I had bought some last spring, but now that I have to gut it, I don't have enough so I have to start over with that. I'm trying, yall!! I will figure all this out.

I have a wishlist/shopping list on Amazon. If you want to help me out you can definitely take a look, everything is appreciated. I have stuff on there that would be nice to have but I also have Lowe's gift cards, flooring and other items of that nature. If you have any ideas on other ways to save money (I've tried Craigslist here, but everything is expensive it's not like Charlotte!) post below and let me know. :)

Updates and a Wedding!

Happy New Years everyone!! Seriously 2017 went by much too fast. So much changed last year. I moved to a new town with a new colder climate, the twins were born and I'm renovating a camper to move into. It's been so cold that nothing has really moved on it in a few months but hopefully, I will be moving into it within the next 3 months or so.

I have a lot of things I've gotten some great deals on items for the camper renovation so I thought I'd share that with you guys today! I don't have a lot but enough to save a good deal of money!

1. Recessed Light: I bought 1 recessed light from Amazon. I had a coupon code to get it for $2 and thanks to Survey gift cards I got it for free! I'm putting this probably in the hallway area of the camper.

2. Kitchen Cabinet Handles: I got a whole box of these for just $2! 10 of them but I will probably only use four or so. Got these from Amazon with a coupon code from Elite Deal Club.

3. A very small bookcase with a door. Super cute little bookcase. It's very small so it will be easy to fit it into the camper after I gut it. lol. It was on clearance on Walmart.com for just $13 and I traded a $50 Ticketmaster gift card I won for a $25 Walmart gift card. With that gift card plus 3 $5 Walmart gift cards I won from a Coke contest I was able to purchase this little bookshelf plus a set of adjustable bed rails. Super excited that I was able to snag both of those for FREE.

4. TV Wall Mount - This should hold my 13" Hello Kitty TV. I know, I know...I need a bigger tv. But until I get the funds for that my 13" will have to do. Got this for $1 from Amazon with a coupon that I got from Elite Deal Club. Super sturdy and functional.

5. Set of metal shower curtain hangers: I originally bought these for the kitchen in the main house, however, the shower curtain I bought arrived with some. So these were about $5.50 however I used survey money to pay for them so honestly...they were free. I'll just put them up for the camper because I do have a tiny shower in there. :)

Another update...my sister wants to get married in Vegas at the end
of May. So I'm going to do my best to try to get the money to go. It's going to be hard but I've never backed away from a college. The plane ticket is about $360 roundtrip...and I have a lot of MyVegas rewards to redeem as well so I'm going to try. We will see. I'll keep you all posted on my Vegas trip...if I'm able to go. I have a little bit already saved from survey companies and the Dosh app (you get money for referring people and the person who signs up gets $5 after adding their first card) so I'm hoping I can expound on that.

Hopping to grab a few more things soon. :)

Camper Remodel Update 3

Ah yes, the UPDATE. The one place where I dump everything I'm doing on you, my readers. I have a few things to report some good, some not so good. So onward we move.

My Camper. Ahhhh, my Camper. I still haven't decided on a name for her, so if you have suggestions comment below. Right now she's a money pit. I started taking all the drawers and doors down to get them ready to paint and I noticed with a heavy heart that there is a massive ton of dry rot. I didn't even see it for all the weird and odd pieces of wood they had screwed everywhere but once I started removing things, the damage became apparent. I'm going to have to completely rebuild the front of the camper. All of the wood around the door and the windows are water damaged. The actual counter top? Destroyed on the back end. Underneath the cabinet is atrocious.

You can almost see through the floor under there. It's bad. REALLY bad. The only way to replace the floor under there is to take out the counter completely. Which isn't honestly a bad idea after I saw how bad it was. The back of the camper isn't like that. It's dirty sure, and needs paint and the floor needs to be fixed but it does not have all the dry rot the front of it does. So it's going to cost me more money. Thankfully though a lovely friend of mine said he's done this before and can assure me that he will come and help me once I have the wood he recommended. He says I should not use OSB as it is cheap and will need to be replaced. Instead he said I should get some very nice thing plywood so I won't have to replace it so often. I see what he means, this is such a big overhaul that I can completely see WHY I wouldn't want to do this again in a few years.

I'm pretty bummed about this as I need more money before I can do what needs to be done and money is something I just don't have right now. I'll just do the best I can with what I got.

I did get most of the drawers and doors taken out. Now I'm not so sure if I want to even consider putting them back in as they are completely horrible. Maybe I can pick up some doors somewhere cheap and just take a piece of OSB and cut the doors back the way they were for a new face. Ideas? Suggestions?

Camper Remodel Update 2

I have to have hit a lovely little bit of luck on my side. I went to a Habitat for Humanity Restore and found some very nice flooring as well as some back splash tile. I was so incredibly happy as I knew I couldn't afford any with my teeny tiny budget.

They had a ton of different  tiles to choose from, some were very expensive and some were really really cheap (and the tiles were tiny!) But I found two that would work, but one was UGLY. lol. I found a huge stack of this linoleum tile that was the oddest shade I've ever seen. It literally glows. My sister calls it Pewter, but she said it has a gold tint to it. It really looks very nice. I had no plans on purchasing a back splash simply because that would have been a luxury. They had a few panels of a very nice brownish-beige that looked so nice with the tile that I just had to get it!

It photographs very dark, but I hope you get the gist of what it looks like. I did purchase all the stuff to get it down on the floor. So here is what my expenses look like for the so far. I did make some changes to what I was buying simply because it was more cost effective to do this and I still haven't had the chance to test the plumbing I think it's smart to keep the rest of my funds on hold.

My $400 Budget:

Lowes:

(4) OSB Boards - $9.11 each after 10% discount
50 ft Extension Cable - $10.77 after 10% discount
One Gallon Tile Adhesive - $11.40 after 10% discount
Molded Rubber Float - $4.49 after 10% discount
Polyurethane Sponge - $2.69 after 10% discount

10 lbs of Grout in the color biscuit - $9.88 after 10% discount
Paint Roller -
$3.98

Pint of Mocha Enamel Paint - $1 (Ooops!)
45 Cinder Blocks - $65.56 after 10% discount

Total at Lowes: $146.12

Walmart:

Rust-Oleum American Accents Stone Pebble Textured Finish Spray Paint - >$7.97
Duck Brand Deco Adhesive Laminate - Grey Quatrefoil - $4.97

Total Spent at Walmart: $12.94

Habitat Restore in Johnson City, TN

2 Cans of White Spray Paint - $2
40 floor tiles - $18
Wall Tiles -  $19

Total at Habitat Restore: $39

Big Lots:

Set of Sheets (I needed ones to fit a Twin Sized mattress) - $7.20 after 20% Discount
Candle (Cause it matched the sheets...) - $4.80

Total Spent at Big Lots: $12

I decided against purchasing the septic tank for now, I have one already in the camper it's just way tiny. I'm hoping to later upgrade that tank to something more substantial.

Total Spent on Camper remodel: $210.06

I have some stuff my sister gave me for free because she loves me. :D

Reagan purchased a fixer upper and had to buy a lot of stuff for her own place as well as take a lot of stuff out. She is letting me use her Killz paint to paint the entire interior of the camper before I commit to wall colors so I'm so thankful for that.

She also has gifted me with:
She has a ton of wall trim that is in the middle of her walls as a chair railing, it's through 90% of her home, she said I could take whatever I needed of that as she's pulling it all out.
She has two little ginger bread type wooden corner medallions she said I could have.

So all in all, I have everything I need to get my camper done. I'm just hoping it turns out well and looks nice. I'll keep writing these updates as things change.

If you have any building materials you don't want consider donating them to my camper cause :)

Camper Remodel Update

After being a camper owner for over a month I'm finally getting some much needed supplies to actually make it livable. I'm not getting everything I wanted but I'm doing the best I can with a budget of $400. lol. So here is what I've gotten so far:

Lowe's:

45 cinder blocks - $75Plastic Dryer - $5.48(4) Utility 1/4 CAT Utility OSB, Application as 4 x 8 - $40.48Saint-Gobain ADFORS Saint Gobain Adfors Screen Wire - $13.72

Walmart:

Duck Brand Deco Adhesive Laminate - Grey Quatrefoil, 20 in. x 12 ft. - $4.97

I'm going to try to reuse as much as I can, and I already have some grey paint I bought for my house back in Charlotte, never used, so that is going to be my cabinets, and I'm going to try to pick up some white spray paint today to spray paint some of the vents and the knobs. It's just hard budgeting everything that needs to be done for not much money.

Thankfully, I WAS able to find a 10% off Lowe's coupon code so that helped greatly with these expenses and I purchased online so I could use Ebates to get cash back at a later time. :)

On Craigslist (I adore craigslist!) I was able to find a septic tank for $150, but the gentleman I spoke said he'd take $140 for it (Hey, every dollar counts with this particular revamp!)

My sister is going to let me use some of her screws and some of her Killz paint she used for her own project so I don't have to buy any of that.

What I really wanted for my camper but couldn't afford: Wallpaper, counter tops, air conditioner hood for the top of the camper, a new toilet, flooring....

Well I AM going to a couple of local Habitat Restore's today so I'm hoping I can find some super super cheap flooring and maybe a counter top...we will see though!

I will say one thing in this camper rebuild, I was super lucky in that the electricity worked. I'm not sure about the plumbing yet, but the hoses all look to be in very good condition, and I'm already going to install a new septic system simply because it would be simpler to do so. I still have to figure out a bed though.

So the OSB is the new floor in the camper as the old floor is not stable at all. The previous owners screwed down a lot of miscellaneous things in the camper so I'm going to reuse those screw as they are almost brand new. The Killz paint is going to be the primer for the paint that I pick up somewhere today, I know that Home Depot is offering $10 rebates on their Glidden paint so I'm thinking that's what I'm going to get. A gallon should do it after I Killz the crap out of the walls.

The contact paper is interesting...I can't afford new counters (unless I run up on a $10 counter today somewhere! lol) so I'm going to take my roll of Con-tact paper and cover the counter in the bathroom and the kitchen! So that they will look better. I have a cutting board so I'm not too worried about it. I have the screen to rescreen the little screen door as the previous screen door is shredded. It's cheaper to rescreen then buy a new camper door.

Like I said previously I have a brand new gallon of darker grey paint that I'm going to use on the cabinets. It should make a nice contrast with the white walls and give it a super clean look. Flooring is one thing I'm worried about.  I would only need a few  boxes of laminate flooring to do the camper but from between $15 and $20 a box it's just not available in my budget at this time. So I'm either going to PAINT it...or...I don't know.

I considered starting some type of campaign to see if folks wanted to donate to my remodel, but I just don't want to ask people for money like that and I honestly don't think anyone would donate. lol. To get everything I needed for the camper I'd need about $1000 honestly. That would do flooring, get a new toilet, rebuild the bunk for a bed larger than a twin, a new medicine cabinet, counter tops, cabinets as these have some water damage I'm choosing to ignore,  buy a burner to cook on, re-paper the bathroom and buy new lights for the entire thing, interior AND exterior, as well as fabric to cover all the windows. It would also allow me to build a small stair care or purchase one so that I don't break my neck. lol. So I'm ignoring some things, trying to cover up others and make it stable and liveable enough for me to be there.

If you have any ideas for me that cost very little or are FREE, let me know! :D

My Camper: Making it Great Again

As I said in a previous post (my Giveaway, enter here!) there is some major changes in my life. I'm leaving Charlotte. I have loved my home here and I will miss it, but sometimes things fall outside of what we can fix or repair and we have to let things go, we have to move on.

I'm hurting that this is the way it has to be, but I also understand that when something ends...something else begins. So, I'm moving to Banner Elk, NC. It's a BEAUTIFUL place and I'm excited to see what the future holds.

My 1979 Coachmen Camper
And that brings me to my new HOME in Banner Elk. I bought a fixer upper camper. I'm going to park it on my sister's property and that is where I will live. It's really ugly. It needs some work and some love but I know I can make it work. It's a 1979 Coachmen camper. The floor needs to be completely replaced and it's really dirty, but I'm kinda in love with it. I bought her for $600 with the title so I'm happy with my purchase.

I'm on a very, very tight (i.e. non-existent) budget. I already have paint, so I'm thankful for that. I'm sort of a hoarder. I have so much stuff in my home, that I can make use out of a good amount of it. Like those little light I bought for my hallway and never put up, or the ceiling light fixture for the foyer...and never put up. These things can be put to good use in my camper. But there are still some things I just don't have sitting around. Here is a list of things that I need to make my camper great again. :)

1. Lumber. .
2. Plywood. I need 4 sheets of plywood, the floor in my camper needs to be completely replaced.
3. Flooring. Whather it's laminate or sticky tile, I'm pretty open to anything right now.
3. A hotplate. The oven is original to my camper and definitely is no shape to be used. I have a great microwave oven so a hotplate for burner cooking would be ideal.

Why am I posting this? I'm putting it out there in case someone is doing some remodeling or are building something and have leftover they wont be using. :) I will happily take any building material off your hands to make my camper beautiful. Anything would be used and appreciated. You can email me through my contact link or on any of my social media.

Here is a cute little slideshow of the ugliness of my new home:
