You can do ANYTHING on the Internet and there are some awesome websites or web resources that I think everyone should be aware of. There are sites and groups you can join to get free stuff, there are sites you can offer your services for a price, there are great opportunities online and if you aren't as web savvy as some of us then here they are!
1.) www.fiverr.com: Fiverr.com is a website where you can offer to do pretty much anything in exchange for $5. You post something random you can do, such as, be their morning wake up call, and once the task has been completed you receive $5 in your account. Once you have $40 in your account you can cash out and receive your money. Pretty cool site, I've already done a few things to receive $5 but haven't hit that $40 mark yet.
2.) Freecycle: If you live under a rock and have never heard of Freecycle then you need to go here and sign up. Keep in mind that in most major cities you will get almost a 100 emails a day. This is a place where you can ask for items or just give items away that you would otherwise throw in the dump. Did you just buy a new couch? Is your old one in the way? Well if you don't want it then list it on Freecycle as an Offer and you will receive emails from people would love to come take it off your hands. Likewise if you are just starting out and need a couch just post a Wanted and if someone sees that and responds you can go pick it up.
3.) Craigslist Free List: Choose the city closest to you and then click on FREE and you will see lists of what some people have to offer for..well...free. Ranges from mulch to furniture, I've even seen hot tubs on there. You have to respond quickly because things go on there pretty fast. Also if you have something for sale or are looking to purchase something Craigslist is the way to go.
4.) Bzzagent: Bzzagent is the ultimate website that promotes promoting products through word of mouth and Facebook. I have been a member of this website for about three years. You are offered a Bzzaccount, mostly things like makeup, cleaning products, dog food. The most recent one I did was for Covergirl, I sign up for it when I'm offered the account, they send me a bzzkit, which includes the product I'm reviewing and some information regarding the product as well as many coupons I can give out to friends as I spread the word and how fantastic this product is. Then I go back to bzzagent.com and report my bzz. Whether it was talking to my aunt and giving her a coupon or demonstrating how great it is to my friends. Anyway, it's a great website and you get paid in points that you can redeem for gift cards, more information on the website I promise!
5.) Points and Prizes by SheKnows: You gather words from their SheKnows newsletters and from around their websites (which are extensive) then once your points add up you can redeem for movies, cds, etc. I think the most recent DVD I received was True Jackson VIP the first season. Pretty cool. Yes I like the teeny bopper shows. I don't know why. They make me giggle.
And one more website for just the fun of it!
Cakewrecks: Cakewrecks is my most favorite blog, simply because it's hysterical. The blog features some of the worst cakes you can ever see in a grocery store or local bakery and they are baaaaad, trust me. And don't just go for the photos, read through the blog as well, the author has a great sense of humor. The blog is just plain fun, I read it when I'm feeling down (which is usually at work, lol!)
Anyway, hope this was an interesting read, definitely hope some of you get some great resources or new websites to check out. I'm in the middle of writing more to my T&A story so I should have another few paragraphs up for you guys later!
