Ugh. Delivery people. We received a message today stating my Tiny House will be delivered on the second, then a second message saying TOMORROW. I was so excited, we went outside and started prepping the area, there was a lot of brush and stuff in the way so we wanted to start moving it all.
See today we were supposed to pick up the rest of the lumber and other items the nice gentleman from craigslist was giving me today but we put that off until Thursday (we explained the situation to him) so we could get the clearing done. Kind of unprofessional of them to move the delivery around like that.
It's 4pm and I'm starting work in an hour so I'm sitting here thinking about what all I need to do tomorrow and I get a call.
They won't be delivering her until Friday. Wait...What? That's three different times it's been moved today. Ugh. I'm disappointed but it's okay, Friday will be here soon enough!
As you can see this side of my sister's house was pretty beat up, it was overgrown and the previous owners had this weird deck built out in the middle of it. We cut that off and started removing all the brush. That weird metal building is our neighbor's yard, so I can't control that. One fun thing I did find, was right where my little Tiny House is going to be is a Rosebush! I need to clear out from around her though as she's getting strangled by the greenery but I'm sure I can give her some room to grow. I would love to put a Hydrangea out there as well as a small raised garden bed for me to put my seeds in once they germinate. I wasn't planning on writing an update today but so much happened that I wanted to explain everything in this post. lol. Hopefully, more positive stuff to come in the future!
I pulled the blinds I got on Clearance at Lowe's for $2.76 out so I can photograph them for everyone.the PERFECT size. I have been playing around with adding some shutters to the outside for curb appeal but it looks like I would only have room to put shutters on 2 Windows. So that will probably look way weird if I did that!
I won't be able to hang them until I get the walls painted at least but as you can see they are the perfect size!! So cool for the price.
