My Poshmark Closet

I've sold 8 of these!
I pick up cheap and free stuff all the time. And I never really know what to do with it but wayyyy back last winter on Amazon I picked up these leather garter things. (See photo!)

I had a coupon code from Jumpsend that turned this $10.99 item into .10. So I bought 10 of them! I had no clue what to do with them honestly but for $1 for 10 of them I figured I could find something. I first offered them to a few friends who turned them down (for free!) after looking at different videos for "side hustles" I decided to open up a Poshmark account. I listed these things for $10 each plus shipping which Poshmark lists as $6.49. I would make a total of $7.05 each after Poshmark fees. So I listed the 9 I had that I had left. (I opened one out of curiosity and my list that one later!) And I sold...8 of them! I took a $1 less on one of them butttt what that means is that my $1 purchase made me $55.40. So...that is amazing!

And I started listing some other things I had and didn't sell much but our local thrift store (Ram's
I call this the "Extra" Sweater
Rack) had "mystery boxes" which were banana boxes and uHaul boxes FULL of stuff and large black trash bags 3 for $1. That's right....3 bags and/boxes for $1! My brother in law footed the bill ($15 total) 44 bags and boxes total but I now have a ton of stuff!! From Lululemon to vintage crazy sweaters (see photo!) I'm hoping to make this a nice little business. If I can keep inventory coming in and going out I should do well. I have visited the University of Youtube and I know that some of what I have is definitely worth a bit of money so I will keep everyone up to date on my Poshmark closet. I'm excited!

I'm working on learning the photography so that my Closet looks really nice. I did buy an amazing Sweater Shaver that I got for .99 (Regularly $5.99) because one of my free Amazon orders arrived a day late. I was given $5 store credit so definitely let them know if you have a late order so you can get your free credit. I used that credit and paid just .99 for the shaver which is AMAZING. How have I lived this long without one of these things? And guess what? In my 44 bags and boxes we found 2 Clothing Steamers!! I need some shoe polishing stuff. Check below for my Purchases!

Poshmark Closet Purchases

$1.90 - 100 count "Just for You" Poly Mailer(I got an amazing deal on these by getting a code from Elite Deal Club.)

$6.99 - Gift Wrap Tissue Paper 15" X 20" - 100 Sheets (Light Pink) - I made a mistake with my tissue. I got the wrong size. This is much smaller than I thought it was. But I will use them until I'm out!

$2.20 - Simple Den Thank You Card Set | 100 Count Bulk Assorted Cards with Envelopes - I had an awesome coupon from Jumpsend. The cards are black and white which to me is very classy. :)

$0.99 - Evercare Fabric Shaver - As mentioned above I did use a $5 credit Amazon gave me for a late package.

$0.99 - Thank You stickers - I can't link you to these because I got them on sale at the Marry Me by Oriental Trading website. They had free shipping so I got the roll of stickers for .99! I use these to seal my tissue paper around whatever I've sold

$14.66 - 44 Boxes and bags of Clothing to use as my stock. Tons and tons and tons of clothes and a few shoes PLUS the great steamers that will definitely be used for this. And a Coach purse!

$15 - Bright Natural Light bulbs - My photos were too dark so we bought some light bulbs that gave true natural light to help. I need a light kit. :(

FREE - 2 Steamers and an iron! (Not really free but it was in one of my 44 boxes so I count those as bonuses!)

Free - Red, Green and White tissue paper (Not really free but it was in one of my 44 boxes so I count those as bonuses!)

$2 - Two light rollers from the Dollar Tree

$3.98 - Leather wipes from Lowe's.

NOTE: I also ordered a bunch of supplies from USPS for FREE. They have boxes and things you can order from their website for free to use instead of those little poly bags. So keep that in mind if you decide to order.

Total spent to start my Poshmark Closet: $48.71

So I've made MORE than I've spent to start up this venture. You can definitely do this cheaper than me. Just use the free mailers from USPS and whatever clothing you have in your closet. I think I'll make more! We will see :D
