March Camper Update

Good morning everyone! I have some updates on the camper. Some disappointments, but all in all it's okay!

1. Lowe's kinda screwed me up. I had gone ahead and ordered my sink base and received a notice that it was ready for pickup but through some snafu's I didn't get it. So no sink base for me :(

2. I've decided to just forego all the iron shelving. I'm afraid it may be too heavy so I'll be using brackets, I would love to use something cute like corbels but I'm not going to hold my breath. Maybe later I go back in and add some gingerbread trim to make it cuter.

3. I almost have enough saved to buy all the wood I need to rebuild my floors! If you don't know the floor is weak, and after sitting out in the weather over the past year it's gotten worse. I'm honestly afraid I'm going to go through the floor at this point so we are ripping it all out and putting new floors down. I'm super excited that I've almost saved enough Survey money to cash in for a Lowe's gift card on Amazon. I have a 10% off coupon code so all in all, I'm going to need a total of $80 to get the subflooring. After that then I have to do it all over again to get the nails, liquid nails and the panelling for the walls. I'm working hard on this project and I'm hoping I get it all done in a couple of months. I'm ready to be in there. :)

4. I've been seeing a lot of Pinterest posts for repurposing wood, drawers and other things to reuse. I have the old cabinet drawers that I'm going to try to repurpose into a cute little kitchen shelf to hold my cookbooks and some food storage containers. Speaking of storage containers... I'm going to reuse coffee creamer containers to hold things like sugar, flour and cereal. My sister buys the giant bottles so I'm just going to rescue them when she gets done, rip off the labels and wash them out really well. Those would be wonderful for storage and even better...THEY ARE FREE.

5. My sister gave me two old windows that I can repurpose into a cute towel rack in the bathroom and a chalkboard for the living area. She was going to toss them but they are old, chippy and will look super shabby chic. I love it. I was going to use a random piece of wood for the bathroom, but once she gave me these windows I was like YASSSSS...lol. I need to find some wood glue to make them sturdy but I will definitely document their transformations.

6. I almost have enough tickets on my VeryDice app to trade in for either another roll of this marble wrap or go ahead and grab the RV dish drainer. I have a small list of stuff I really want to get on the app so hopefully, I can do that in the next few days!

That's pretty much it! Whatever projects I do complete I will make sure to document that for everyone. But I wanted to share my disappointment with the kitchen sink and my happiness with almost having enough survey money saved to buy the subfloor.

That's all the updates for now! But I'll definitely keep you all posted. Again if you want to send me something for the camper I do have a wishlist which you can view here. :)
