Birthday Freebies & Discounts Part 1

I hear your birthday is coming up. Well, not really, but my sister's birthday month is March so LAST MONTH I signed her up for every birthday freebie and discount I could find. She started receiving things at the end of February and there have been a very steady stream of emails since March 1st. Her birthday is March 29th.

A few tips before you start signing up for freebies and discounts for your birthday. Sign up for these freebies at least a month or more before your actual birthday month. You want to make sure you get into their system.

Set up an email address specifically for your birthday. I did mine as caseysbday1980@gmail.com. You do something similar but you will get sooooo many newsletters it WILL clog your regular email up. Once you have that done then you can start searching. Now I'm sure there are some out there I didn't find, always check with any local places as well, sometimes you have local stores and shops that have a birthday program. Also make sure you log into each account and fully fill out your profile updating your birthday and mailing information. Some items do come via postal mail.

Another quick tip: Download and install the Ebates plugin. Even if your order is free for you, you can still get a percentage back on your orders. So that's making money off your freebies!

1. Ikea Family Rewards - This is a great one! They sent Reagan a coupon for $15 off any purchase AND a free meatball meal with dessert in their cafeteria. Reagan did use hers, she bought a baking pan and some little bowls and forks, she picked up a few other things but she was able to get $15 her entire purchase. How awesome is that? I wish she would have taken a picture of her meal but alas, she did not. She receive this coupon on March 1st.

2. DSW - I love this site! When you sign up you get $10 to spend on anything in the store, and randomly they will put $5 or $10 in your account, which is awesome. For your birthday, you do get $5 to spend. Their site boasts free shipping on any item so she was able to get some adorable Easter socks for FREE. They have already been shipped. This reward was sent to Reagan via the postal mail AND it was added to her account on March 1st.

3. Torrid Insiders - Torrid USED to be one of y favorite plus sized stores, but they have changed so much it's not even in the same aesthetic anymore. But for your birthday they do give you $10 to spend! This is towards any item, you can spend it in store or online. If you do shop online you can have it shipped to a store near you completely free. Reagan perused the clearance section and found a pretty cute bralette in the color peach and after a sale, a coupon and her birthday reward she spent .20! That's right TWENTY CENTS. She chose to pick up in store for free. This was added to Reagan's account on March 1st, but she did not receive any emails or messages alerting her to that, so just check the account. (She scored 2% cash back on her purchase through Ebates!)

4. Tarte Rewards - Ohhh, for my make-up lovers...Tarte will give you a gift with purchase and 20% your purchase. This year the gift is a Clay blush and mascara. Shipping is free if you spend $40 otherwise its $6. We lucked up. Reagan wasn't going to get this one, but Tarte ran free shipping for a day off any purchase, so we used her rewards to buy a travel sized facial wipe for $4. After her coupon and the sale, she spent $3.40 for the wipes, the birthday gift set, and 2 samples. Not bad at all! She can take those wipes on her cruise in October! She received her email on March 1st. (She scored 8% cash back on Ebates for her purchase!)

5. Medieval Times - For her birthday, Reagan received a coupon for FREE ENTRANCE into Medieval Times with the purchase of an adult  admission. Pretty cool, but the closest one to us would be in Myrtle Beach, SC and that is at least a 6 hour drive. So sadly we won't be redeeming this one. But this would be awesome to sign up the kids for! She received her coupon on March 1st.

6. Charming Charlie - This company sends you $10 to spend on anything you want. Which is super cool, they have some ADORABLE stuff. We don't have a Charming Charlie store near us so we would have to do the online shopping. Shipping price is $6 so I'm not sure if we will redeem this one. Maybe we can get near a store before the end of the month. She received her email on March 1st. (If you decide to order online you can score 2.5% cash back on Ebates!)

7. CVS Beauty Club - This is another little beauty freebie! On March 1st, Reagan received an email for a coupon towards a Pop-arazzi nail polish. She could choose any color she wanted and the coupon was $2.99 off so it would be FREE. She chose the shade Mermaid Charade. She received her nail polish coupon on March 1st and it had to be redeemed by March 15th.. **Note: I'm not sure if this was for her birthday or not, but I didn't have the same coupons on my account. She was sent an email that contained $2 in rewards towards Beauty Items, $2 in rewards towards food items, $2 in rewards towards Health and Wellness, $2 in rewards towards Home products, $2 in rewards towards Personal Care. She received these coupons on March 3rd. (If you shop this one online and pick up in store then you can score 2% cash back on this from Ebates!)

8. Qboda - This is a pretty interesting one. We do not have a Qboda near us so we won't be able to redeem this one, but Reagan received a coupon for a Free cookie. It looks like there are levels to your freebie. You can reach the level to get a taco...or an entree. Each level depends on how often you eat there.  She received this email on March 1st.

9. Kohl's Yes2You Rewards - On March 1st, Reagan received an email giving her a Bonus 50 points. Which from my understanding is about $2.50. We have not tried to redeem this, I'm not even sure how this program works. Email was received in regards to this on March 1st.

10. LovelySkin - This site sent Reagan $5 to spend on anything she wants and their online shop has free shipping, however there is NOTHING in that price range. Anything under $10 has a requirement that you buy a minimum of 2. So if you shop here already or really want something this is great. Email was received March 1st.

11. TGI Friday's - Reagan received a coupon for a FREE dessert with no purchase required on the coupon. I'm hoping that get to redeem some of the food freebies soon! This is a great one. Coupon was received March 1st.

12. Space NK London - Reagan received a coupon for a Free Trio of products in store OR online, Online requires a purchase however, and their products are a bit pricey. The closest store is in Atlanta. Sadly, we will have to pass on this one. (If you shop this one online you can score 2.5% cash back on Ebates!)

13. PF Chang's - They sent Reagan a Free Dim Sum or Dessert up to $12.99! This is awesome! That's a great value. PF Chang's is nowhere near us. I'm hoping we get towards Charlotte again soon.

14. Kirkland's - sent Reagan a 20% off code PLUS a free birthday gift in store. I've heard it's a basket and you get to choose what you want. Some of the next freebies we will have to go to the Mall in Johnson City, TN to redeem. We are hoping to get there soon. I know there is a Birthday Candle in there, and that would be so cute to get!

15. Krispy Kreme - This is a FAVORITE one. I love Krispy Kreme. Reagan received a coupon for a FREE Doughnut and a beverage (either coffee or a soda). This is super cool and has around a $5 value.

16. Pizza Hurt - Pizza Hut sent Reagan a coupon for Free Cinnamon Sticks but it looks like it will be for the specific store you sign up with as your main store. Hours happens to still be connected to a store in Charlotte. There is a MINIMUM PURCHASE OF $5 REQUIRED.

17. Champs Sports sent Reagan $10 off $50 purchase or $25 off a $100 purchase. This is another one we won't be redeeming, but if you need shoes this is a great time to buy them!

18. Hardrock Cafe sent Reagan a buy an entree, get one free coupon! Free Entree valid for Salads, Entrees, Smokehouse Burgers or Sandwiches. Pretty nifty! Sadly, there is no Hardrock near us.

19. Hot Topic - Hot Topic used to be sister stores with Torrid, so that should tell you how much Torrid has changed. They gift you with $5 towards any purchase but unlike Torrid, you cannot do free ship to store if the purchase is under $10. You will be charged $2 for ship to store and $5 shipping to your address. This one is better to just shop in store and save your $2. This is another mall trip. Their socks were $4.90 so that will totally be free, they also had some lip gloss sets that were under $5. She did get an email on this one! It arrived on March 1st. (If you decide to shop this one online you can score 2% cash back on Ebates!)

20. Perricone MD - This store sent Reagan a coupon code for $25 off online. When we checked out the site, there is absolutely NOTHING under $30. Perricone is a bet expensive but they do have some amazing skin care products, if you are a fan of this company you will definitely enjoy the coupon. The site does boast Free Shipping, and you can get a Lipstick or Mascara for $5 after coupon, they also have free samples with every order. So far, Reagan has opted NOT to sue this coupon. I may use it though, if she won't! lol. (If you shop this one online you can score up to 9.5% cash back on Ebates!)

21. Aveda sent Reagan a coupon for a free product trio plus free shipping on a $25 order. They also encouraged her to visit a store for a free hand ritual. They have a pretty interesting store. They do give freebies out a lot just for stopping in, and if you check online you can sign up for FREE facials, free makeup artist, free hair styling and more. (If you shop this one online you will score 4% cash back on your purchase through Ebates!)

22. Coke - Coke sent Reagan a Coke Code! Pretty cool, these can be used to enter a giveaway or to help you with a redemption for gift cards or other prizes that they do randomly.

23. Walgreens Balance Rewards - Reagan received an email stating she would have 10% off on any "eligible purchases" all month long!

24. Godiva Chocolate Rewards - YUM! Reagan received a $10 off $10 purchase online or in store. They do NOT have free shipping, so in store would be a better option here unless they run a sale with free shipping, which we missed by 15 minutes!! lol. UPDATE: It came back! We were able to score a box of their mixed truffles for $2.05 shipped after taxes. Always look for those sales that stack! (If you shop this one online you will score 4% cash back on your purchase through Ebates!)

25. Dippin' Dots Dot Crazy Email- Reagan received a coupon for a FREE Small cup of Dippin' Dots! She loves Dippin' Dots so this will be very special for her. :)

26. Sephora - Reagan was able to purchase their Free Shipping program for $15 a few months back with a gift card I gave her, so
we were able to find a small $2 item to purchase (which she also used a gift card for) and was able to redeem for her Free Birthday gift. She was able to choose between 2 things. Either a Kat Von D face set or a Drunk Elephant Skin Care box. These are both deluxe sample sizes. Reagan chose the Kat Von D. She was also able to choose 2 more samples to go with it and she got a gorgeous Dior lip bubble sample packet and a Tarte facial wash foil packet. You can definitely just walk in to redeem this one in store, but it was easier to just order it in case we DON'T make it to Johnson City. (Reagan scored 8% cash back on her purchase through Ebates!)

27. Express Next - Reagan received $10 credited to her account for a purchase towards anything, no minimum. Express is not near us so we didn't think we would redeem this one because shipping is $6 from this store, but they ran a sale and she was able to get a cute little heart necklace shipped for FREE. So that was pretty amazing that we were able to take advantage of that coupon code. They used to have cute little cups and journals and things of that nature but I think they stopped carrying those items as I didn't see ANY of that. (AND she got 2% cashback on the $10 purchase through Ebates)

28. Estee Lauder - Estee Lauder gave Reagan a free gift with purchase on their website. They do have free shipping, but the cheapest thing we saw on there was a mini for $10. You do get a deluxe sample as well with purchase so for $10 plus tax you wind up with some awesome items. She received an email with a unique coupon code.

There are some we are still waiting on to verify that they are going to work so stay tuned for Part 2 of this post!

Here are a few freebies and deals for Kids on their birthdays!

For the Kids:

1. Nickelodeon Jr. Phone CallFor the little ones! A free birthday call from one of the Nickelodeon Jr. characters. I set up Tristan for a phone call from Paw Patrol and Cadence for a phone call from the Bubble Guppies. You have the option of choosing a time so you can make sure you don't miss the phone call. Pretty awesome for the little ones.

2. Build-a-Bear - This is a really cool one! At Build a Bear your child can build the Birthday Teddy Bear and you will just have to pay their age! This is super cool for the younger ones. So Tristan will be 5 so his bear will be $5 and Cadence will be 3 so the cost of her bear will be $3. How cool is that?! They get the full experience for not a lot of money.

I don't know a lot of kid freebies, most are for adults, but I'll keep looking to find some more!
