Hi, everyone! I hope your Daylight Savings night is going well! If you follow my Instagram feed you know I get A LOT of free items from Amazon and the #1 question I'm asked is "HOW?!" It's pretty simple and pretty time consuming but let me break it down for you.
There are websites out there that give you coupons to get items at a deeply discounted rate. Below you will find all the links to the websites that I am talking about. You are given a unique code to check out with and then you will see the discount come off. I've gotten $30 items for as little as $3 or even FREE. Step 1. Have Amazon Prime. This only is going to work with Amazon Prime otherwise you are paying shipping.
So how does this get me free items? It's completely within the terms and conditions of Amazon, you aren't breaking any laws and you aren't stealing.
On some Amazon pages you will see a coupon that you can clip! There is also a place on the Product page that gives you additional discounts, such as buying multiples percentages off buying one, so it's like a hidden discount. So once you stack those together, along with your coupon from one of the discount sites you can get a HUUUUGE discount on items or free items if they stack together.
Here are 2 examples of unclipped coupons. One is for a percentage off and one is for a dollar amount off. You can see either of these on products, always clip those is definitely a savings.
So let me show you how the stack works.
I have this unique code for these pretty cool sunglasses here:
The coupon is for 70% off of these sunglasses. The original price is $8.88. These are super cute and could definitely create a look, so I'm like, okay, let me check the Amazon product page.
I was delighted to see a $1 coupon! I clipped it! Then I scrolled down, past the "Other buyers bought this" list, to see if there was even MORE of a discount!
And yes, as you can see there is a discount on multiples and that has a coupon code as well. So if I buy 5 pairs I get an additional 15% off. I copy that code and then I add 5 of them, one in blue, the teal, the pink, the purple and the yellow! So my total is now $41.40. I see my $1 off and sadly this will only be off 1 pair of sunglasses. So I'm looking at $40.40.
I enter in my unique code and the code from the product page and what I see is that my total is now $11.42.
Well, that's a bummer. The seller is not letting my unique code and the multiple discount stack. But that does tell me that the unique code worked on EACH pair of sunglasses and not just one. So all five pair for $11.42? NICE. But me being me, will not spend that much so I just kick all of the colors out of my cart and look at purchasing just the pink pair.
Okay, so these are just the pink ones, and I do have a bit of a gift card left over...what I'm also seeing is that the total for JUST the pink pair is only $1.06, after my gift card balance I'm just spending .24 OOP. Yup, I think I'm going to do it! They are cute and I like the look of them. If I do add the teal pair back in I'm getting both pair for $3.36 which still isn't bad, but I'm going to stick with my .24 pink option.
So that is how I stack codes to get a much more discounted product than what the original code would have given me. Remember that original coupon said I should get the glasses for $2.66. As you can see, it DOES NOT work all the time! You have to play with it, try a few things, see what gives you the best discount. If I had $10 I probably would have gotten all 5, but sadly, my budget is almost non-existent.
And here they are! This is my .24 set of Sunglasses you see in the photos above. :) |
I stumbled across this a few months ago with a bondage kit. Go figure. It's a long story, but let's just say I wound up with 10 purple bondage kits for free. lol.
If I find a stack that gives the item free I will post an update. :)
A few tips for you:
1. If you read Kindle books and aren't in a hurry to receive your item then click that little box and wait for your shipping to get a $1 Amazon Digital reward. This is how I buy my Kindle books! (So if I'm honest about it, after my digital code I'm only spending .06 on those sunglasses!!)
2. Check the product page BEFORE you request the code. Sometimes you will see that they are actually offering that same discount on their product page, that way you don't have to deal with requesting a code, you just copy it from that Special Offers and Product Discounts section.
3. Please know that not all coupons will stack. But it never hurts to try. And sometimes the code you request may not work, if that's the case, you can reach out the seller or mark it as unworking.
4. Show me what you get! I love seeing what people get and how big of a discount they get, it's awesome.
5. HAVE FUN. If it's not fun, it's not worth doing.
Here are some of the BEST Amazon Discount sites. I will put a * by my favorites.
*Elite Deal Club - This one drops codes at 10am EST, 2pm EST and 8pm EST. They go FAST. This is how I get a lot of my Christmas gifts during those months and things I put away. Super easy site to use but you gotta be quick.
Vipon - This is very popular, and I've gotten some great discounts on there. The bondage kit code come Vipon!
*Jumpsend - This one is hit or miss, but still my favorite. For this one you have two types of codes. There are codes that are Auto, meaning as soon as you click Request Coupon, you get your coupon and you're off to the races. The second type is where you request the code and you have to wait to be approved for it. I've waited before and never got accepted and was bummed and that can be a bit frustrating at times. But today I got two pairs of cuff links. One was automatically given to me and i bought them for .13 the second ones I had to wait to be approved and once I was it was .05! So those are going to be birthday gifts for my Brother-In-Law. :D (When you open this site click I WANT TO SHOP)
Zondeals - This is a good one! I see a lot of really nice items on here, a lot of kids and party stuff. This is one I check daily!!
UPDATE: I DID POST ONE WHERE THE STACK WOUND UP FREE! YOU CAN CLICK HERE TO SEE THAT POST, IT WAS EPIC!
