Poshmark Update 2: What did I sell? What did I buy? Wishlist?!

Hey, y'all! So here I am...writing another update exactly one week from the last. I don't know if I will make this a regular thing but I liked seeing my last tally so I wanted to continue that streak.

Here all the things I have sold since last Sunday mid-day on Poshmark and eBay!

Poshmark:

1. Impact by Jillian Michaels Windbreaker Vest Plus - This was a cute little vest that came from Kmart. I didn't know that Jillian Michaels had a clothing line. This was in one of the original 44 boxes/bags of clothes so I paid about .01-.03 for it.

Listed: $10  + $6.49 shipping

Sold: $10 + $6.49 shipping + $1.18

Poshmark Fee: $2.95

What I profited: $7.02

Poshmark collected taxes on this sale! I didn't come out of my earnings but they did collect $1.18

2. Fylo Floral Bird Embroidered Jean Jacket Size XL - This was awesome! It had an amazing bird embroidered on the back with flowers, it was a whole back piece. It was also in that original 44 piece lot so I paid about .01-.03 for it.

Listed: $25 +  $6.49 shipping

Sold: $25 +  $6.49 shipping (They did not collect taxes for this sale.)

Poshmark Fee: $5

What I profited: $19.97

3. Eberjey Flynn polka-dot stretch-jersey PJ shorts - Y'all these things were tiny. I found them in the boxes and was like, there is no way these cost anything. They are like $40 on the website for some tiny sleep shorts. I listed them for $10 initially but lowered them to $8. I took an offer of $7. I paid only about .01-.03 for them so I'll take that profit.

Listed: $10 + $6.49 shipping - Lowered to $8 + $6.49 shipping

Sold: $7 + $6.49 shipping + .51 taxes (Accepted offer)!

Poshmark Fee: $2.95

What I profited: $4.03

4. Maurice's Chain Detail Sandals - Last year, around February of 2018, I purchased a pair of sandals from Maurice's for my sister. They did not fit her so they've been sitting around. Oh, I should also say by "purchase" it means I got them for free. They were new with tags so I listed them for $15 (Original price was $19.99) and I got an offer of $10 for them. I countered with $12 and the buyer accepted.

Listed: $15 + $6.49 shipping

Sold: $12 + $6.49 shipping + .51 taxes (Counter offered)!

Poshmark Fee: $2.95

What I profited: $9.05

5. SWEES Stainless Steel Band Fitbit Inspire & HR - You all know I'm a code stacker on Amazon and I get a lot of things dirt cheap or free. This Fitbit band was free after coupon stack so I listed it at a modest $6 knowing that I wouldn't make a huge profit, but profit is profit when you get something for free! I took an offer on it though.

Listed: $6 + $6.49 shipping

Sold: $5 + $6.49 shipping + $1.05 taxes (Accepted offer)!

Poshmark Fee: $2.95

What I profited: $2.05

6. SWEES Leather Band - Fitbit Versa Shiny Pink - These are interesting. If you have been reading my blog for a while you know I stack codes on Amazon. I was able to get 17 of these Fitbit Versa bands for .10 each (Spent $1.78 total on all 17.) I received some on 5 on Friday and 1 on Saturday. I listed them all Friday evening and by Saturday evening I sold 2 of them! I listed them each for $7 but I took the offers given.

Listed: $7 + $6.49 shipping

Sold: $5 + $6.49 shipping + .89 tax (Accepted Offer)!

Poshmark Fee: $2.95

What I profited: $1.94

7. SWEES Leather Band - Fitbit Versa Taupe - Same situation as above! I listed it for $7, but was offered $4, I countered with $5 and it was accepted.

Listed: $7 + $6.49 shipping

Sold: $5 + $6.49 shipping + .97 tax (Counter-offered)!

Poshmark Fee: $2.95

What I profited: $1.94

eBay:

eBay...I really don't like it. Poshmark is easier for me to list on but it's mostly geared towards women and I have a lot of men's attire. Remember the Seersucker shorts from last week? Believe it or not the customer left a positive review. I would have bet money that he would have hated them. I did sell one item on eBay this week though!

1. Haggar Olive Green Golf Shorts Size 38 - I have these in just about every color you can imagine. I listed the Olive Green shorts on eBay priced at $13.30 (I would have made a profit of about $10 with that price) but I was offered $10 so I took it.

Listed: $13.30 + $7.70 shipping

Sold: $10 + $7.70 shipping

Paypal Fee: .81

eBay Fee: $0

What I profited: $9.58

My total profit for both platforms however for the week is: $55.58! I'm excited about that.

What did I buy? There are items that I did purchase for my Poshmark Closet. Some items were not that expensive though so I'm happy with that. I will say that I had $25 in Amazon gift cards and $10 in Amazon courtesy credits that I used to buy the more expensive items. My NEXT big purchase will be a mannequin.

  • $0.49 - 2x3 backdrop from Ebay. An eBay coupon code gave me $3.00 off a $3.01 purchase on eBay so I used it to buy a backdrop. It's coming from China so I won't see that for weeks. I know it's small but I can use it for shoes or accessors or maybe even shorts. :)
  • $1.68 - Sooo, I code stacked again. I purchased $168.30 worth of Fitbit bands for $1.68. So total that is 17 of them. If I sell them for $5 each then I will make $34 off of them. I received some already and have them listed already at $7 each. We will see what happens there. :) I'm trying to turn $1.68 into $50. lol.
  • $6.99 - 6 Count Masking Tape - I bought a pack of 6 rolls of masking tape. I have a plan for these for storing my items. I used my Amazon gift cards for this purchase. Thank God for surveys!
  • $16.99 - Accuteck All-in-One Digital Scale - I needed a scale! If I can list the shipping correctly I can make more sales on eBay. Poshmark prices all shipping the same at $6.49 so I can't change that at all unless I eat the difference and offer cheaper shipping (that comes out of my profit). This is interesting...okay so I ordered this twice. The first time I used all of my gift cards to pay for it. Then I realized that two of the free stacked items I ordered were a week late. So I did my chat in to get my compensation for late items and they gave me $5 courtesy credit from each late order. So $10 courtesy credit total. I quickly cancelled the previous order. I placed a new order for the $16.99 scale with my courtesy credit and the rest of the $6.99 (+ .47 taxes) was paid by the gift cards. Which left me $10.55 to buy my flip and fold! I didn't think I'd get this for a few more weeks or a month or so.

  • $1.05 - I used my sister's eBay account and placed a second eBay order to grab some twine for my packaging! I got some Butcher's twine that is pink and white stripped as well as a roll of regular twine. I had to pay the $1 for shipping and I was .05 over the $3.00. lol. The pink twine arrived yesterday but the regular twine is coming from China so I will get that next month. lol. Maybe. I thought I was buying a roll of the pink twine but sadly it was a card with a little bit tied around it. I can probably get maybe 4 uses out of it. lol.
  • $11.08 - Flip and Fold. I have ALWAYS wanted one of these. They are these plastic contraptions that help you fold your clothes like a professional. I found one of these in the Amazon Warehouse for $10.38 (+ .70 taxes) and I paid $10.55 from a gift card and .53 OOP.

Total Spend: $38.75

Courtesy Credit (Amazon) - $10

Gift Cards (Surveys!) - $25

OOP: $3.75

And that's it! That's what I've bought. My next big buy will be a mannequin. I did create a wishlist to keep track of what I want and what I'm buying from Amazon.
